COMETA AIRGUNS from SPAIN
Cometa air rifles
and pistols are manufactured using the same raw
materials as the most notable names in the
airgun industry. In fact, the machines
used for Cometa’s barrel production, cylinder
tubes and even the wood stocks are the same ones
also used by the better known names of the
airgun industry.
So then, how is it
possible to offer German quality at Spanish
prices? Two reasons: in-house production of key
parts and efficiency in production. Please note
that Cometa has been perfecting airgun
production methods for over 140 years!
Barrels
The barrels of Cometa
rifles and pistols are legendary for accuracy.
Since barrels are the single most important
aspect of accuracy, Cometa has rigorously
controlled its production. Barrels are precision
drilled and hammer-forged. This results in a
barrel that is wear resistant with a bore that
has a mirror-like finish. More importantly, this
process produces consistent rifling throughout
the length of the barrel. As a final step,
barrel straightening occurs with sophisticated
semi-automated tools. |

Stocks
The stocks are made from
select beech wood. This wood has extensive
figuring and is a finer quality than the beech
stock found on most German airguns. Matter of
fact, the same stocks makers involved with
making Cometa stocks also make stocks for the
legendary Spanish shotgun maker AyA!
Cometa stocks come in a
deluxe configuration with an adjustable comb – a
feature found only airguns double the price. |

Other
fine features
The Fusion model is
Cometa’s latest air rifle offering. Fine
features include a unique air stripper that
displaces the turbulent air that surrounds a
pellet as it leaves the barrel. This reduces
muzzle flip and results in a much better shot
placement.
The Fusion also features a
full barrel shroud to make the airgun more
balanced and to dampen the sound of the airgun
action. |

In
Conclusion
Together with superb
barrels, fine wood stocks, and unique features,
Cometa airguns are a true heirloom piece that
can be passed on to future generations of airgun
enthusiasts.
